FIN-Helsinki (4540 km)

Hier noch ein kleiner Nachtrag zu Pori: Die Stadt gefiel uns nicht besonders, aber zum Glück waren wir nur wegen des Konzerts dort. Die Bands (Manboy und Rubik) waren nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht sonderlich spektakulär. Auf jeden Fall tat es gut, mal wieder im Ausgang zu sein.

Helsinki überraschte uns hingegen sehr positiv. Endlich trafen wir schönere Menschen :-) und schönere Gebäude an. Unsere Jugendherberge ist sehr empfehlenswert, im Zentrum, viele junge Leute und guter Komfort. Gestern Abend gönnten wir uns wieder einmal einen Restaurantbesuch. Das Buffet (nur 17 Euro) bestand aus typisch finnischen Spezialitäten (Rentier, Lachs, Hering etc.) à discrétion mit Vorspeise und Dessert. Danke, Lonely Planet!

Nach ausgiebigem Sightseeing und Shopping geht's nun wieder weiter in den Norden.

A bit more about Pori: We didn't really like the city but it was okay as we were only there because of the concert. The bands (Manboy and Rubik) were not bad, however, they were not spectacular, either. It was great to go out again, though.

Helsinki surprised us positively with more beautiful people (finally) :-) and buildings. Our hostel is pretty cool, in the heart of the city with lots of young people and a nice comfort. Last night, we treated ourselves with a fine Finnish dinner. The buffet (only 17 euros) consisted of reindeer, salmon, hering and other specialities à discrétion with sides and dessert. After an extensive sightseeing and shopping tour, we're heading for the north again.
